About the Company

In Fall 2014, the ballet director of Dortmund, Xin Peng Wang founded the NRW JUNIORBALLETT with the support of the North Rhine-Westphalian state government.

The company consists 12 particularly talented graduates of dance academies from all over the world and is affiliated to the Ballett Dortmund in the ballet center. In addition to continuing education in seminars and stage practice at the Ballett Dortmund, the development of own productions places a special artistic emphasis. Internationally renowned choreographers work with the NRW JUNIORBALLETT with a wide range, that allows dance to be experienced innovatively and is also suitable for performances in unusual locations.

After the success of the full‐length dance thriller Mord im Orient Express directed by Demis Volpi, the production #zauberflöte3.0 was created in October 2019 and one year later Die Vier Jahreszeiten, both choreographed by Raimondo Rebeck and 2023 Da Vinci Mode, consisting of choreographies by
Gaj Žmavc, Marijn Rademaker, Douglas Lee and Marco Goecke.
